Information You Submit
When you use a search form, the name, telephone number, or address you enter is sent to the outside provider that supplies the results. Kearns People Search does not save a copy of that query on its own servers. A message sent through the contact channel contains only what you decide to provide, and that information is used to answer the message.
Information Collected Automatically
Normal web-hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, visit time, and pages requested. Aggregated log data helps maintain the service and shows which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic site analytics and advertising measurement where those features apply.
How Information Is Used
The limited information described here supports site operation, traffic measurement, troubleshooting, and page improvement. We do not create personal profiles of individual visitors or sell a visitor list.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to Kearns resources, Salt Lake County or Utah offices, library collections, government portals, and outside search services. Each destination sets its own privacy terms. Information entered after leaving this site is governed by the destination's policy. That distinction also applies to sponsored results, which an independent company provides.
When Information Is Shared
Vendors that host or support the service may process technical logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Visitor information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise distribute it.
Safeguarding Visitor Information
An encrypted connection protects traffic to the site. Server logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the uses stated above. Because visitors do not open accounts, this service holds no visitor password or user profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If a minor appears to have sent personal information, please contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on whether a law applies to the request, a visitor may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal data. The Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61, grants covered consumers rights against covered businesses, subject to the law's thresholds and exemptions. It does not erase government public records. Because Kearns People Search retains very little, a request will generally involve checking contact messages or available server logs. Use the Contact page to submit it. Records held by Kearns, Salt Lake County, or Utah agencies remain under the control of those custodians, so a correction or removal request for an official record must go to the office that keeps it.
Policy Changes
Any revised policy will appear here. Using the site after a revision is posted signifies acceptance of the updated terms.
